Plumbing

This permit becomes null and void if work or construction authorized is not commenced within 6 months or if construction or work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 6 months at any time after work is commenced. This permit expires 1 year from date issued.

Hot Work

This hot work permit is required for any operation involving open flames or producing heat and/or sparks. This includes, but is not limited to: welding and allied processes, hot mopping, heat treating, grinding, thawing pipe, the use of power-driven fasteners, hot riveting and similar applications.

  • Available sprinklers, hose streams and extinguishers are in service/operable
  • Hot work equipment in good repair
  • Occupants of the building must be notified if any fire detection/fire alarm systems have been placed on test mode
  • Ensure adequate ventilation

Contractor Registration

Complete and submit the Contractor Registration Application Form to the Building Department

  • Completed Contractor Registration Application Form
  • Copy of city or county business tax receipt
  • Copy of general liability certificate, listing, the City of St. Cloud, as the certificate holder
  • Copy of state license
  • Copy of workers compensation insurance policy or exemption certificate
  • Letter of reciprocity
