The City of Mexico Beach requires a permit for the following. If you are uncertain of permit requirements please contact us at Building Department. Building Permits are required for, but not limited to the following:

- Deck
- Demolition
- Dock
- Drywall
- Duct work
- Electrical
- Gas
- Generator
- HVAC
- In-Ground Pool
- Mechanical
- Modular Homes
- New Building
- Porch/Patio
- Plumbing
- Remodels & Renovations- Interior/ Exterior
- Roof (new & re-roof)
- Sea Wall
- Walls
- Window Replacement
Building Permit Application Checklist
The following is required to obtain a permit:
- Homeowner Hold Harmless Agreement
- Homeowners Disclosure Statement CH.489.10FS
- Driveway/Ditch Permit Application if Required
- Site plan
- 2 Complete Sets of Plans Including:
- Complete Building Permit Application
- Energy Forms
- Notice of Commencement
- Flood Elevation Certificate
- All Applicable Fee Paid and Building Permit Fee
