Boat Houses, Seawalls and Marine Retaining Walls

  • Building permit application.The application must be fully completed, signed, and notarized
  • Proof of property ownership. This can be a recorded deed, closing statement or property tax information. A printout from the Okaloosa County Property Appraiser’s Office or website if preferred
  • Building plans
  • Site plan
  • Signed contract
  • Recorded notice of commencement
  • FDEP permit or exemption letter

Residential Dwelling

  • Building Permit Application
  • The owner information listed on the building permit application must match the online records of the Okaloosa County Property Appraiser
  • Three sets of construction plans
  • Three sets of an original wet signed and sealed
  • Proof of water and sewer service tap
  • Owner/Builder affidavit
  • Three sets of a certified foundation survey
  • If demolishing an existing structure, a demo permit is first required
  • A tree survey if protected trees are to be removed or land clearing activities
