Permitting

 The City of Lake Wales uses one  Permit Application for the following trades.

• Air conditioner change-outs
• Demolition
• Driveways and parking pads
• Electrical services change-outs
• Fences
• Fire Suppression Hood System
• House siding
• Interior alterations and renovations
• Masonry walls
• New buildings including storage buildings, boathouses, docks, greenhouses, and screen enclosures
• New electrical, plumbing, gas, and air conditioning systems
• Patios and decks
• Reroofing
• Signs
• Temporary buildings (construction, etc.)

Commercial/Industrial Permit Requirements

• Apply for a permit with a completed application.
• Full Size scaled set of Construction Plans and Site Plans
• Product Approval Spec Sheet
• DPBR Approved Construction Plans when applicable
• Tax ID (Parcel ID Number)
• Water/Sewer Service Documentation/Septic Tank Approval
• Supplement for Commercial Industrial (as required)
• Copies of regulatory permits (DEP, WMD, FDOT, etc.)
• Deed (proof of ownership) (Owner Builder if applicable)
• Notice of Commencement (due before the first inspection and posted at the site prior to the first inspection)
• Primary Contractor – Copy of License, Liability cert., Workers comp cert
• Sub-contractors – Copy of License, Liability cert., Workers comp cert
• The applicant will be notified of other required documents based on the scope of work or type of application, i.e.: flood certificate, letter of authorization, etc.
