A site plan is required showing all structures on the property. Highlight or otherwise indicate the structure(s) to be removed
A floor plan, or sketch, of the structure(s) is required showing the room designation and plumbing fixtures
The applicant must complete a Building Permit Application along with the Demolition Information Sheet
Hazardous materials (including asbestos) must be removed and disposed of properly Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) notification is required if excessive amounts of asbestos are removed
Demolition materials must be removed from the site and disposed of at a landfill or recycling facility
A demolition permit is valid for 30 days. A 30 day extension may be granted by the building official for cause
Completed, signed and notarized Building Permit Application
Appropriate plan review fee (Please see fee schedule for current fees)
Floor Plan (3 sets)
Detailed construction plans signed and sealed (wet or raised seal only) by an engineer or architect using the most current building codes, unless otherwise required by code (3 sets)
Completed, signed and notarized Sign Permit Application.
Site Plan showing location of sign, distance to nearest monument sign and visibility triangle, if applicable
Plan showing elevation of building and linear footage of building and sign location, if applicable
Detailed construction plans signed and sealed (wet or raised seal only) by an engineer or architect using the most current building codes (3 sets) or shop drawings show the content, colors and dimensions
Written consent from property owner to modify or add sign
Recorded Notice of Commencement (if job value is over $2,500)
