Permits

The following items are among those required by the Belleview City Code and Florida Building Code. Therefore, they must be included and filled out for the application package to be considered complete.

Building

  • Residential
  • Commercial

Driveway

  • Owner
  • Contractor
  • Agent
  • Residential

Residential Swimming Pool, Spa Hot Tub Safety Act

  • The pool must be equipped with an approved safety pool cover
  • All doors and windows providing direct access from the home to the pool must be equipped with an exit alarm that has a minimum sound pressure rating of 85 dB A at 10 feet
  • All doors providing direct access from the home to the pool must be equipped with a selfclosing, self-latching device with a release mechanism placed no lower than 54 inches above the floor
  • A swimming pool alarm that, when placed in a pool, sounds an alarm upon detection of an accidental or unauthorized entrance into the water

Sign

  • Two (2) copies of the site plan clearly marked with dimensions, indicating the exact location of sign(s)
  • Two (2) copies of plans
  • Interior & Exterior panel signs, Pole Signs, and Monument signs require signed and sealed drawings.
  • All lettering must be shown on scaled plan
  • If sign is Electrically Lighted, an electrical permit MUST be submitted with this application
  • Signed & Notarized approval from property owner for installation of sign

Residential

  • Completed Application & deposit of $900 for all New Single Family Residence applications due at the time of submittal. This fee will be used as a credit toward the permit fees
  • Power of Attorney (unless permit is being picked up by License Holder)
  • Owner / Builder Statement if the homeowner is pulling the permit (if applicable)
  • Legal Description Printout (Property Appraisers Printout)
  • Two (2) copies of the Site Plan
  • Two (2) copies of Construction Drawings
  • Two (2) copies of NOA’S/Florida Product Approvals
  • Two (2) copies Manual J for HVAC
  • A Storm Water Management Application is required if the new home is located outside of a PUD. A fee of $400 is due at the time of submittal
  • Tree Removal Permit may be required. $200 Fee

Residential Re-Roof

  • Architect
  • Roofing Contractor
  • Any individual certified
  • drip edge/valley/vents
  • Roof deck nailing
  • Secondary water barrier work

Notice of Commencement

  • Description of Property
  • General description of improvement
  • Owner information
  • Name and address
  • Interest in property
  • Name and address of fee simple titleholder
  • Contractor
  • Name and address
  • Phone number
  • Surety

Mobile Home

  • Application properly completed and signed on both sides with all information filled in
  • Septic Permit or Receipt of Application

  • Site plan
  • Pier / Footing plan to scale
  • Tie-down strap plan
  • Manufacturers Data Report
