Permits

Building Permit Application

  • Any non-residential (commercial, office, industrial, etc.) application must include one copy of the floor plan in PDF format on a compact disk (CD), used for firefighting pre-planning
  • If you are in a Home Owners Association (HOA), this application does not exclude you from meeting and/or adhering to HOA deed restrictions
  • You may pay with a debit or credit card, however, an additional fee of 2.75% of the transaction will be charged

Residential Commercial Electronic Submittal Process

  • Permit Application
  • Power of Attorney
  • Top page of Energy Calculation
  • Certified copy of NOC
  • Property record card
  • Flood Elevation Certificate, if located in a Flood Zone
  • Affidavit for Window/Doors
  • Affidavit for Reroofs

Commercial Building Permit

  • Commercial Building Permit Submission Form
  • Building Permit Application
  • Recent Survey with topography
  • Notarized letter of approval from property owner authorizing addition or alteration, if applicable
  • Three Full size to scale sets and 1 (digital-cd or thumb drive) of construction plans signed and sealed by Florida Architect and/or Engineer that include: Site Plan, Floor plans, Elevations,Sections and Details for Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Systems as applicable to the project. Fixture count with peak potable demand identified in GPM and requested meter size identified on plumbing plan
  • Three Specification signed and sealed, if applicable
  • Three copies of Energy Calculations for building structure. Per unit for tenant build-outs
  • Three Sets Engineered signed and sealed Roof Framing calculations and plans
  • copies of Florida Product Approval Submittal Sheet (City of Clermont Form) attach 1 copy of each associated approvals and installation instructions printed

Resubmittal Revision Cover Sheet

  • Please submit three (3) copies of comment/response letter with (3) complete new sets of plans with the following revisions/corrections/additions circled or clouded on each sheet
  • Applicant must insert new individual sheets with the following revisions/ corrections/ additions circled or clouded on each sheet into all three (3) sets of plans previously submitted along with three (3) copies of the comment/response letter

Demolition

  • Copies of all licenses and insurances
  • Building permit application form
  • Owner’s affidavit
  • Proof of ownership for property to be demolished
  • Two plot plans of the property showing all structures, well, etc. with proper identification showing structure(s) to be demolished
  • EPA report

Permit Extension

  • Length of Extension will be 90 days fron the approved extension rate

Commercial Permitting

When permitting for a commercial building, there may be other permits involved that require a separate permit. They include but are not limited to the following:

  • Retaining Walls
  • Hood systems
  • Fire alarm Systems
  • Fire Sprinkler Systems
  • Site lighting
  • Dumpster Enclosure
  • Commercial Pools
