Citrus County (FL) Specialty Structure License (GITS©) 

A Specialty Structure Contractor is a contractor whose services are limited to the execution of contracts requiring the experience, knowledge and skill necessary for the fabrication, assembling, handling, erection, installation, dismantling, adjustment, alteration, repair, servicing and design work when not prohibited by law, in accordance with accepted engineering data and/or according to manufacturers specifications in the aluminum, metal, canvas, vinyl and fiberglass screening, and allied construction materials. The scope of such work shall include and be limited to fabric coverings on metal substructures, screened porches, screened enclosures, pool enclosures, preformed panel-post and beam roofs, mobile home panel roofovers, residential glass window and door enclosures, vinyl panel window enclosures, single story self-contained aluminum utility storage structures (not to exceed 500 sq. ft.), siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. The scope of such work shall include wood work incidental to the aluminum and allied materials construction work. It shall be limited to the construction of wood framing for the walls of uninhabitable utility storage structures, raised wood decks for enclosures, and the repair and/or replacement of wood incidental to the installation of glass windows and doors, installation of siding, soffit, fascia, gutters and preformed panel-post and beam roofs. The scope of such work shall comply with all plans, specifications, codes, laws and regulations applicable. The scope of such work shall include masonry concrete work and be limited to foundations, slabs and block kneewalls incidental to the aluminum and allied construction materials construction work. The Specialty Structure Contractor, whose services are limited, shall not perform any work that alters the structural integrity of the building including but not limited to roof trusses, lintels, load bearing walls and foundations. The specialty structure contractor shall subcontract, with a licensed qualified contractor in the field concerned, all other work incidental to that which is defined herein but which is the work of a trade other than that of a Specialty Structure Contractor.

    Course Description: Upon enrolment the student receives an email containing his/her ID and Password combination to access the eCampus. The student can access the eCampus 24/7 for as long as it is necessary until he/she passes all licensing exams. The eCampus contains VIDEOS, PRACTICE QUESTIONS (similar to those seen on the actual exams), typical MATH PROBLEMS with step-by-step solutions, and detailed instructions on how to FIND ANSWERS within the books. The student also has access to optional in-person classroom-style refresher seminars. The training can be completed fully online, but if the student prefers, he/she can go to any number of REFRESHER SEMINARS (no extra charges or limitations).

  • Citrus County (Florida) Business Procedures (GITS) Course

    Course Description: This course can be taken through morning, afternoon, and evening classes, every week. You will be able to choose from all available times and dates at the time of your registration (first come, first served).  Once you register for the course, you will be contacted to set up your training sessions according to your schedule. The subjects covered in this training will reflect material specific to this exam (no generic material). You can access the live classes from any computer and talk to your professor (one-on-one) in real time. You will also receive access to practice questions and training material to complete before taking the exam, after the live training sessions. An email with all instructions will be sent to the student’s email address, immediately after registration.
