The California Plumbing (C-36) contractor license allows you to provide a means for a supply of safe water, ample in volume and of suitable temperature for the purpose intended and the proper disposal of fluid waste from the premises in all structures and fixed works. California Plumbing contractors can work on waste removal, on-site sewage, piping, storage tanks, venting, vacuum, medical gas, flues/gas connections, suspended heating units (no forced warm air units!), water/gas piping, and solar equipment.
The CSLB will either issue your license or contact you if they need further information.

classesBelow are the specifications (test type, academic content, etc.) for each exam needed to get the Plumbing (C-36) contractor's license in California.
The book set includes all source references for the California Plumbing (C-36) Contractor exams. You can use these books to study for the exams but you are not allowed to bring these books in with you to the testing center. These tests will be closed-book. Orders placed before 2 PM are shipped the same day via UPS and a tracking number is emailed before 3 PM.
