Sign Erection (Non-electric) Category--Class "SE": The scope of work of a Class "SE" specialty building contractor shall include and be limited to the painting, installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of non-electric signs. The scope shall include the application, erection, and installation of any outside display of characters, letters, illustrations, or ornamentations which do not include the incorporation of any electrical work in their manufacture, fabrication, or erection. A Class "SE" specialty building contractor may also install panels, facing, and frame structures which are movable or fixed, free standing, or attached to an existing building or structure. In order to be eligible to be certified as a Class "SE" specialty building contractor by the board, the applicant shall have at least one (1) year of practical experience in the category.
