Brevard county contractors are wondering how they will be impacted by the passage of House Bill 735 in Florida. Effective May of 2021, no contractor licenses are needed for flooring, masonry, painting, or framing in Brevard county. Business performing these particular trades must still follow standard business practices in Brevard county like obtaining a business tax receipt and carrying insurance and worker’s comp.
Brevard has not made any decisions on how they will respond to House Bill 735 which will be into effect on July 2023.
