Contractor Applications, Forms, and Fees for the Brevard County License.
Documentation Needed for Your Application
- A completed application and appropriate fee for your trade.
- Experience affidavits from employers (unless self-employed) showing the required years of experience. This varies per trade.
- A recent photo attached to your application.
- Three (3) letters of personal reference. These will be in relation to your Honesty, Integrity, Good Moral Character. ALL of these letters need to have notarized signatures.
- A copy of your driver’s license or state identification card.
- Meet CLB rule 61G4-15.005 which establishes minimum net worth.
- Notarized signature of applicant on signature pages.

Fees for Contractor Examinations
Please note that the fees paid to the county are per application and are not refundable. Make checks payable to Board of County Commissioners.

Supporting Documentation
- Application Fee as indicated on page one (1) (Make checks payable to Board of County Commissioners).
- Copy of driver’s license.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation from contractors whom applicants have worked either for or with, or reputable business or professional people, not related by blood or marriage to the applicant, vouching for the applicant’s reputation as to honesty, integrity and good moral character. Letters must be on business letterhead or notarized. LETTERS MUST BE ORIGINALS. FAXES OR COPIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Notarized documentation of experience on attached Experience Form.
- Signed Social Security Number Disclaimer.
Minimum Net Worth Requirements
Brevard County and the Construction Industry Licensing Board Rule 61G4-15.005 establishes minimum net worth requirements for the following categories of contractors:

Net worth shall be defined to require a showing for all contractor licensure categories that the applicant has a minimum of 50% of the amount in cash.
