What is an Apprenticeship Program in the State of Oregon?
The Apprenticeship program provides young adults with paid on-the-job training and supplemental classroom training related to specific self-interest trades. Programs and affiliations with the government, labor, business, and educational institutions will all benefit from this, as it will help foster the development of a workforce that is highly motivated and highly skilled in Oregon.
The State of Oregon is under the BOLI guidelines. The primary governing body for approving brand-new apprenticeship committees, policies, and programs is the Oregon State Apprenticeship and Training Council (OSATC).
